Was ist UHMWPE

UHMWPE steht für Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylen und ist ein thermoplastischer Kunststoff mit einem extrem hohen Molekulargewicht. Diese Struktur verleiht dem Material besondere Eigenschaften wie sehr hohe Verschleißfestigkeit und einen niedrigen Reibungskoeffizienten.

UHMWPE ist zäh, schlagfest und weist auch bei dauerhafter mechanischer Beanspruchung eine gute Formstabilität auf.
